the G2 and G3. dpreview.com uses these cameras as the standard by which it compares and tests all other point and shoot digicams. The G5 can only be better and for around $600 or less you can't go wrong. 5MP. And really the size is not that big. Of course I usually work with a digital SLR, so it's a lot smaller than what I'm used to. I've been doing the research and will probably be buying a G5 soon. If the G5 is still too big for you then try the Canon S50. Also try photographyreview.com for good reviews from people that actually use the cameras. Good luck!
